Sixth National Field-Day of Teachers
The Sixth National Field-Day of Teachers with international participation took place from July 7th to July 11th, 2010 in Albena resort. The field-day was held under the patronage of Gen. Boyko Borissov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Martin Romer, General Secretary of ETUCE and Prof. Dr. Zhelyazko Hristov, President of CITUB. Among the official guests was Prof. Sergei Ignatov, Minister of education, youth and science.
22 teams with 400 persons from Bulgaria, Poland, Slovenia and Slovakia participated in the field-day, competing in 9 kinds of sports – mini football, beach volleyball, table tennis, chess, swimming, basketball (streetball), tug of war, darts and track and field athletics. The first place in the complex ranking was taken by the team of Varna with 59 points, followed by Polish Teachers’ Union – Central Committee with 53 points and Burgas with 41 points. The Fair Play cup was won by the teams of Sofia (men) and Plovdiv (women).
