Fourth National Field Event of power engineers
The Fourth National Field Event of power engineers took place from 21 st to 25 th September, 2006, in Albena Seaside Resort. It was opened by the President of the National federation of power engineers, Mr. George Petrov, in the presence of his deputies Ms. Elka Arnaudova and Mr. Hristo Dyakov. Nearly 1200 sportspeople, forming 395 teams (men and women) , took part in the competitions. The power engineers competed in 15 kinds of sports, the most attractive of which were mini – football, volleyball, tug of war, table tennis, arm wrestling, swimming, athletics, and bowling.
The competitiveness in the all – round ranking was very tough indeed. The highest sportsmanship was shown by the teams from NPP “Kozloduy”, Steam Power Plant, Varna, while High Voltage Nets – NEC PLC, Sofia shared the third place with their colleagues from Steam Power Plant, Maritza – Iztok 2.
