
Seventh International Filed-day of teachers
The Seventh International Field-day of teachers, organized by the Trade Union of Bulgarian Teachers together with BWF Sport and Health, was held in Albena resort from July 6th to July 10th, 2011, under the patronage of Gen. Boyko Borissov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Martin Romer, Secretary General of the European Trade Union Committee for Education and Mr. Plamen Dimitrov, President of CITUB. Mr. Krasimir Vulchev, Secretary General of the Ministry of education, youth and science, was among the official guests of the field-day.
23 teams with 450 persons from Bulgaria, Poland, Romania and Russia participated in the field-day and competed in 9 kinds of sports mini football, beach volleyball, table tennis, chess, swimming, basketball (streetball), tug of war, darts and track and field athletics (race). The first place in the final complex ranking was won by the team of Varna with 62 points, followed by Polish Teachers Union with 58 points and Plovdiv with 52 points. The fairplay cup was won by the teams of Kozloduy (men) and Polish Teachers Union (women).
