The Fifth National Field Event of power engineers in Bulgaria was held from 19 to 23 of September, 2007 in seaside resort �Albena�. More than 1200 people from 20 Unions in the field of power engineering, participating in 14 different kinds of sports, took part in it. The field event was opened by Dr. Zhelyazko Hristov, Assoc.Prof., President of CITUB and Georgi Petrov, President of the National Federation of power engineers in Bulgaria. Official guests at the opening ceremony were: Mr. Liubomir Velkov, Chief Executive Director of NEC PLC, Mr. Petko Panovski, Director of HPS �Rodopi Group�, Mr. Alexander Nikolov, Director of �Production� Department of NPS Kozlodui, Mr. Alexander Videnov, Head of �Repair Works� Department of NPS Kozlodui, Mr. Reinhard Ashendorf, member of the board of directors of EON � Bulgaria PLC, Mr. Anatoli Tokmakchiev, member of the board of directors of E.ON � Bulgaria, Mr. Ian Vavera, member of the board of directors of SPP Varna, Mr. Georgi Karagutov, Director of �Internal Servicing� Department of CEZ Bulgaria, Mr. Tencho Kairiakov, vice-Executive Director of Mini Maritca Iztok, Mrs. Margarita Korkinova, Director Economics of �Radioactive Waste� Sofia, Mr. Ivan Kunev, Executive Director of Heat supply Shumen and etc. By tradition, the first place on the complex ranking was taken by the team of NPS Kozlodui, followed by the teams of SPP Varna and Electric-power System Operator LTD Sofia. The �Fairplay� cup was deservedly won by E.ON Bulgaria. The finals of the National football workers� championship, organised by the Amateur Football League and the Bulgarian Workers� Sport Federation was also held in the same period with the field event. The first place was taken by the team of Mini Maritca Iztok PLC.
