The Eighth Field Event of the employees in the Water Supply and Drainage System Sector was held in Albena resort from September 6th to September 10th, 2011. The field event was organized by Bulgarian Workers Federation Sport and Health together with the Union of the employers in the Water Supply and Drainage System Sector in the Republic of Bulgaria, Federation Building, industry and water supply Podkrepa and National Branch Syndicate Water Supplier - CITUB. Mrs. Ekaterina Zaharieva, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, attended the opening ceremony of the field event.
More than 880 persons from 38 organizations participated in the field event and competed in 6 kinds of sports mini football, darts, beach volleyball, table tennis, chess and tug of war. The first place in the final complex ranking was taken by the team of Water Supply and Drainage System Varna with 74 points, followed by the teams of Sofia Water PLC with 49 points and Water Supply and Drainage System Burgas with 48 points. The fairplay cup was won by the team of Uvex Sandanski. The closing ceremony of the field event was attended by Mr. Plamen Dimitrov President of CITUB, who bestowed the prizes for the complex ranking, and Mr. Angel Prestoyski President of the Union of the Water Supply and Drainage System Operators in Bulgaria.
